Farlig vandring (på tynt vann) - [Live at Gamla 2016]

about

From the release concert of the "Pestrottedans" album in 2016. The song originates from Panzerpappas 2003-album of the same name. The composition started with Trond's infamous "Soft Machine"-bass riff, and was embellished with melody lines with both an Arabic and Flamenco'esque tinge. The melody of the slow middle section is Steinar's, and the spastic, atonal, unison breaks between the main parts comes out of Anders' twisted imagination. This was a definitive live favourite in the early period of the current line-up of Panzerpappa, and it was such a joy to "resurrect" this tune, with a real human brass section and all, for the release of Pestrottedans.
