Barkus i Vinterland [Extended version]

from Pappa Xmas' Box of Avant Delight by Panzerpappa

/

about

The edited (shorter) version was originally released on Pestrottedans in 2016.

This is the tale of Barkus (or should we call him Hangrover?) as he struggles through the winter landscape suffering from a terrible hangover ("bakrus" in Norwegian). The version that ended up on Pestrottedans was an edited version without the intro and outro from this extended version. In the intro you can hear the bustling noises of the patrons in the half-shabby tavern where Barkus started the party that lead to his hangover. On stage the local musicians starts a strange kind of avant-jazz. After the struggling through the deserted winter city, the main portion of the track, we end up in Barkus' apartment where he finally goes to bed and has a dreamlike flashback of the haunting jazz he heard earlier..
